Description
Kwashiorkor is a common nutritional disease found among children in developing countries. It commonly causes swollen stomachs and bodies, fluffy, discoloured hair, and weeping wounds among children who are poorly weaned off breastmilk.
In this Medi-Tale, Ayọ̀mídé champions a mission to help little Àdùkẹ́ while visiting her Grandma. Because of her swollen stomach, Ayọ̀mídé’s first impression was that Àdùkẹ́ was “pregnant,” but the medical team helped us understand that poor feeding practices were the major reason for Àdùkẹ́’s “pregnancy.”
Read on as Ayọ̀mídé demonstrates love and determination to help another child just like her.
